Michal was only 14 when she left her home in Poland. On the eve of the Second World War, she travelled to Israel by herself. She expected her family would join her the following year, but war changed everything. ‘Broken Branches’ is an animated documentary about loss, family and hope.Michal’s memories come to life in colorful animation depicting her lonely transition from childhood to adulthood.
